Estate Planning in 5 Easy Steps

#1
Schedule Your Complimentary Consultation
The first step in creating your estate plan is to contact our firm! You can conveniently schedule your complimentary consultation directly through our website, or you may reach us by phone at 405-608-1900 or by email at info@tnlg.com. Our team will work with you to schedule a convenient time to meet and begin crafting a personalized estate plan that protects you, your loved ones, and your legacy.

#2
Your Complimentary Consultation
To help you prepare for your consultation, we will provide you with a simple and confidential Estate Planning Intake Form. This form is designed to help us get a general overview of your estate planning needs. The intake form is easily accessible on our website and will also be emailed or mailed to you upon scheduling your free initial meeting. During your initial consultation with one of our experienced estate planning attorneys, you’ll gain insight into the benefits of a well-crafted estate plan and the long-term value of making a thoughtful investment in your family’s future. This consultation typically lasts about 30 minutes. By the end of the consultation, your attorney will present a personalized course of action tailored to your needs, along with a clear outline of the associated fees.

#3
Design Meeting
Upon retaining our Firm to assist you with your estate plan, we will schedule a design meeting. To help you prepare for your design meeting, we will provide you with a comprehensive and confidential Estate Planning Worksheet. This detailed worksheet guides you in gathering the key information your attorney will need to create a plan tailored to your goals and wishes. During the design meeting—typically lasting about an hour—your attorney will walk through the worksheet with you, answer any questions, and ensure you have a clear understanding of how your estate plan will be structured.

#4
Drafting Your Estate Plan
Once we have a clear understanding of your wishes and how your estate plan will be structured, we begin drafting the legal documents needed to bring your plan to life. You will receive drafts of each document for your review, giving you the opportunity to ask questions, provide comments, and request any revisions necessary to ensure the final plan accurately reflects your intentions.

#5
Execution Ceremony
While the name may sound formal, the Execution Ceremony is simply the final step that brings your estate plan to life. This meeting—typically lasting about an hour—includes a final review of your documents with your attorney, followed by the official signing of your estate planning documents in the presence of a Notary Public and two independent witnesses. Once the documents are executed, we will complete the necessary steps to implement your plan, provide you with copies for your records, and offer clear instructions for any next steps you may need to take.
